“The last year has been incredibly tough for all of us and LDF and our original traders are no exception,” Soraya Gadelrab, managing director of Venn Media, which owns the event, told Speciality Food.
“Many of the businesses who joined us in making the inaugural event a success have been forced to close for long periods of time which has significantly impacted their trade. And whilst there is still uncertainty out there in the world, we just couldn’t face the possibility of not putting on the event again, in a bid to give dessert brands an opportunity to come together once again to celebrate all things sweet, and to give summer sales a boost this August,” Soraya said.
The event welcomes brands to showcase their creations across patisserie, sweet snacks, frozen treats, chocolate, tea and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. With 1,500 tickets already reserved, the festival looks set to pick up where it left off two years ago.
