“With the distribution hubs of Mantinga in Gloucester and Chester combined with the Boulangeries de France distribution hub in London, the business will be responsible for a quality next day delivery service to customers across the majority of the UK,” he says.
Mantinga sources a wide range of breads and pastries from artisan bakeries in countries such as Lithuania, Germany, Italy, Spain and Canada, while Boulangeries de France specialises in French breads and morning goods.
“Our product ranges are also very complimentary with the strong French product range of the Boulangeries de France which we will amalgamate with the diverse European-wide speciality bakery products supplied by Mantinga,” adds Mr Cacaly.
A chain of Mantinga bakery and coffee retail outlets are to be part of the rebranding, as the business looks to establish itself as a consumer-recognised brand. “The bake-off market continues to grow but is increasingly more competitive, as a team we will be able to provide the points of difference and service levels that will ensure we are a market leader in this sector,” adds Steven Mackintosh, commercial director.
