After monitoring the Covid situation, the group decided that as the health and safety of the committee, visitors, sponsors and exhibitors remains its top priority, moving the date to later in the year would be the best course of action. The event will return to 30th June to 2nd July in 2022.
“With the very positive position regarding the UK’s vaccination roll out after the postponement of many events in the UK over the past year, the International Cheese and Dairy Awards are delighted to be able to commit to a firm date in October for our prestigious event, with a much greater degree of certainty,” said chairman Ian Luxton.
“2021 will see our move to Bingley Hall at Staffordshire County Showground completed, importantly in a central location and at a weather-proof venue, which will help to secure the future of the show,” Ian said. “It will also see the launch of The Cheeseboard Awards, a competition and celebration of all food and drink, that accompanies cheese.
“In recognition of our commitment to all stakeholders and to ensure a successful farm-to-fork event, the trade day on Thursday 21st October will give way to two consumer days on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd October under the brand ‘Love Cheese Live’ and will be the UK’s largest cheese, dairy food and drink consumer weekender,” Ian said.
