The guide features inspiring recipes from the region’s food heroes and celebrity chefs, alongside foodie features - including tips on how to pack a picnic with a punch - and much more.
Yorkshire’s Own Kitchen also boasts a detailed directory of contact details for some of Yorkshire & Humber’s best food and drink producers, retailers, hospitality sector and caterers, making it an indispensable guide on top quality places to eat, stay and buy in Yorkshire and Humber.
James Martin, star of Saturday Kitchen, has penned the foreword of the fifth annual guide - and has recently launched his new restaurant Leeds Kitchen.
Jonathan Knight, chief executive of deliciouslyorkshire, says the guide reflects the county’s prestigious reputation, which is spreading far and wide as demand for Yorkshire’s products increases both nationally and internationally.
“Yorkshire is not only the UK’s biggest food producing region - as a county it also boasts the most Michelin stars. From chocolate to cheese, ales to apples and pies to piccalilli, our members offer an extravaganza of variety and choice.
“The guide reinforces the talent of our local producers and will whet many an appetite across homes in Yorkshire and the North of England.”
Yorkshire’s Own Kitchen costs £2.95, is available from the middle of July and can be ordered for food outlets throughout the region and will feature at the deliciouslyorkshire ‘Cookery Theatre’ in the Food Hall at the Great Yorkshire Show. It is also available online at www.deliciouslyorkshire.co.uk
