Get your free copyThe competition is part of British Sausage Week (4th – 10th November), one of the country’s biggest annual food promotions.
The two categories are Best Traditional Pork Sausage, which will score entries based on appearance, taste and seasoning, and New Pork Sausage Discovery, which looks for exciting flavours and unique characteristics.
Keith Fisher, BPEX butchery and product development manager, and lead judge, said, “With over 500 sausage varieties available in Britain, it has never been more important for quality sausages to stand out from the crowd. The competition – along with the week as a whole – is a fantastic platform for the industry to boost awareness and sales of Red Tractor and other assured sausages.”
The deadline for entrants to submit details of their sausages is 30 th August.
