New Show for Fine Food Industry

The Independent Retail Show takes place on 28th – 29th October at the NEC in Birmingham, and hopes to connect suppliers with independent food and drink retailers.

The slogan for the show is ‘bringing together all that is best for Britain’s high street’, which aims to promote local, independent shops.

The NFRN has also partnered up with fine food wholesaler Pride of Place, which will be organising an interactive seminar programme including masterclasses and tastings led by industry experts.

The wholesaler will also be putting together a farmer’s market exhibit, showcasing small artisan food and drink producers.

Graeme Collins, marketing director for the NFRN, said, “There is no doubt that this deal with Pride of Place is an important one, and it is symbolic of what we are trying to achieve for the Independent Retail Show. It will bring valuable new content to the show plus a wider range of exhibitors helping us to expand and achieve significant growth.

“What’s more, market research has shown there is a growing demand from amongst convenience stores for specialist local fine food suppliers exactly like those Pride of Place aims to attract,” he added.
