Through the initiative the DIT wishes to encourage and support communities in the North West to boost the overseas sales of regional products.
The gourmet crisp and popcorn company was launched four years ago and its products are stocked in fine food shops and delis across the UK, as well as exported to the US, Canada, the Middle East, Far East and throughout Europe.
Tony Goodman, CEO of Ten Acre said, “When we launched Ten Acre, we knew that export was a vital part of our business plan as the brand’s unrivalled credentials also open up a wide number of potential markets around the world. The prime minister’s recent comment that we should all “get out into the world, trade and do business around the globe is a positive message that all British companies should consider. At Yumsh Snacks Ltd we already export to more than 40 countries and we look forward to further expansion in the future.”
Bev Mullin, partnerships manager for the DIT North West Regional Team said, “DIT NW are thrilled that Ten Acre have agreed to become one of their Export Champions. In doing so, they join an elite group of businesses who have been hand-picked to inspire and motivate those inexperienced in international trade, by promoting the benefits of exporting through their own success and sharing their extensive exporting knowledge and experience. They will be a key part of our strategy to inspire non-exporters to get started and new exporters to do more by bringing to life our tailored advice and support, which they have used extensively throughout their export journey.”
