Over 600 businesses will be exhibiting from across the speciality food sphere, including returning brands such as Whittards of Chelsea, Tyrrells Potato Crisps and Cotswold Fayre.
Soraya Gadelrab, event director said, “In 2014 we will be celebrating our 15th edition of the Fair. It’s incredible to see how much the show has grown since 2000 and just how vibrant the speciality food sector in the UK is. We will have more producers than ever before, showcasing their products to an increasingly discerning community of retail buyers and chefs – and a fantastic array of newly imported goods which they’ll struggle to find elsewhere.”
The show will host the Small Producers Village, where new businesses will be introducing their products, such as granola producer Sensible Dave and preserve makers Rubies in the Rubble. There will also be a Small Business Forum, where experienced industry faces such as journalist Sally Cox and Harrods buyer Bruce Langlands will share their expertise on subjects such as social media and promotion and the Business Mentoring Centre will give attendees a chance to attend one to one meetings with the experts. Cookery demonstrations utilising the latest ingredients and technology will also be taking place, held daily in the Fine Food Forum. The space will be shared with the Speciality Chocolate Fair, Britain’s only trade fair dedicated to fine and artisan chocolate.
Of 2013’s show, Amelia Rope of Amelia Chocolates said, “This was the 3rd year of exhibiting at Speciality & Fine Food Fair and the best. I invested in a stand with a premium position and realised the importance of exhibiting on consecutive years. The visitors become aware of your brand. The opportunities from it, as well as reinforcing the brand in the market place, were well worth it.”
Christine Andaloussi, senior sales manager at Harrods said, “I’ve just arrived at the show and it’s amazing. I’m here to find teas, coffees etc. for our customers and there is so much here that you don’t know about. I’m really happy with the show.”
