Family business Bramley & Gage won several gongs for its liqueurs, made using fresh British fruits. Michael Kain, director of the company, commented, “The Awards are a great way for consumers to get an independent assessment of the quality of a product. It is also recognition of the care and attention that we put in to our drinks.”
John Sheaves, Taste of the West chief executive, was delighted with this year’s results. “We have definitely seen an uplift in the product quality this year. The entries have proved, once again, that West Country producers lead the way in local sourcing and have raised the standard and sheer professionalism in getting their products to market,” he said.
“It’s a tough economic climate out there, so raising the bar is key to maintaining market share. My congratulations go to all the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners,” he added.
