Hosted on 13th and 14th October, 2020, Food Matters Live aims to provide an engaging and inclusive event to help the global community connect and explore opportunities. The event will connect visitors with exhibitors, allowing them to access product demonstrations through virtual meeting spaces, and offering access to a hosted buyer programme. Visitors will also be given access to an education programme offering streams on topical evidence-based presentations, trend insights and panel discussions.
Briony Mansell-Lewis, director at Food Matters, said: “Advancing innovation in food and nutrition together with enabling sustainable food production are going to be fundamental as we move beyond these unprecedented times.
“We are pleased to be able to offer a virtual experience to enable the business of food and nutrition innovation to continue in 2020, and to support our global community in making connections, sharing information and inspiring new thinking.”
Already looking ahead, the event organisers have also announced new summer dates for the 2021 edition, which will see Food Matters Live take place on 29 and 30 June.
Food Matters Live isn’t the only event to go virtual. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, amidst ongoing uncertainty around travel and mass events, many organisers have avoided cancelling events in favour of hosting virtual instalments to prove their adaptability and help bring together the growing online community.
