Entries now open for Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards

Throughout the pandemic, independent retailers have proven their resilience, innovation and business nous to survive, and even thrive, in a challenging and unprecedented environment. But some retailers have gone above and beyond in an effort to create a better world through sustainable initiatives that support their customers, communities and suppliers.

The Farm Shop & Deli Show, part of the UK Food & Drink Shows (25th-27th April at NEC Birmingham) is looking to celebrate these businesses through its newly unveiled Retailer Awards for 2022.

“During the last 18 months, the specialist retail community has had to be so innovative, and with these awards we want to celebrate those retailers whose incredible spirit and entrepreneurial mindset has shone through,” said Andrew Reed, managing director for events and exhibitions. 

“If you are, or know, a retailer who deserves recognition for creating a better world through sustainable initiatives, no matter how small those steps may be, we want to hear from you! Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards are a fantastic way of celebrating our wonderful industry and I urge you to get your nominations and entries in today,” he said.

Entries are open across nine regions and ten categories to recognise the specialist retailers who are encouraging positive, sustainable changes in the sector. The panel of judges will consider the ways in which retailers adapted and evolved their businesses throughout the pandemic before announcing regional finalists in early April. The winners will be revealed live from the Farm Shop & Deli Show on 25th April 2022.
