Wish 4 Fair Trade

Delicious new ranges of muffins, bars and sweets are available from new specialist company Wish 4 Fair Trade. These include the first Fairtrade confectionery sharing box - an ideal gift.
The company’s USP is its mix of high quality, hand crafted products with natural ingredients and a 100% commitment to Fairtrade.
The new ranges are:
* Muffins: Toffee (with toffee fudge pieces); Blueberry (with real Blueberries); Chocolate (with real chocolate pieces); and Lemon (with real lemon). All The muffins have a sauce filling for extra moistness.
* Bars: Honey & Fruit Flapjack; Traditional Oat Flapjack; Millionaire’s Shortbread; Chocolate Brownie; Fruity Nut Seed Bar and Rich Fruit Cake. Handmade using butter.
* Sweets: Calypso Fruit Mix; Crumbly Mint Balls; Blackcurrant & Liquorice; Vanilla Fudge; Toffee Assortment; and the Fairtrade sharing box – a 400g Fudge & Toffee Assortment.
Wish 4 Fair Trade was created after company founder Alan Clayton won a trip to Malawi two years ago, as a result of his home town, Kinsale, winning the first ‘Best Fairtrade Town in Ireland’ award.
Clayton explains: “The very day we arrived we saw electricity board vans delivering pylons, bringing electricity to remote villages for the first time meaning children could do homework in the evenings and adults can cook, eat and enjoy the radio . This was the direct result of Fairtrade.” He has also been influenced by living in Kinsale, known as the gastronomic capital of Ireland.
Clayton is a former Marketing Manager at Asda who also has experience in food manufacture and distribution. He is a former award-winning hotelier who once catered for rock band U2.
