A new batch of ‘Cooking Sauces’ has added another versatile dimension to The Bay Tree Food Company. Three new curry sauces - korma, tikka masala and vindaloo - were created using authentic ingredients such as roasted whole and ground spices, coconut milk and chillies. The range developed following talks with butchers and farm shops, so each label comes with foodie witticisms (‘the best dressing for lamb since wool’) and provocative challenges (‘get a little daring at dinner’)! Retailers say they give counters ‘a touch of culinary humour’. All sauces are free from additives and preservatives. They are also GM and gluten-free and several are available dairy-free. Available in sturdy packs of approximately 300g, the Cooking Sauces have a 12 month shelf life and a retail price of around £2.99 per pack (available in cases of 12 units).
