Uncle Roy announces that his popular Gravy Salts are now exclusive to the independent sector – no supermarkets supplied.

When customers of Uncle Roy’s award-winning deli started asking for Burdall’s Gravy Salt, he found out that it had vanished from the supermarkets and got hold of an old packet and started making his Old Fashioned Gravy Salt.

“I stayed true to the simple traditional recipe but use coarse sea salt instead of the fine stuff that turned into a solid block - so it stays friable and easy to use! We now produce many thousands of jars that are popular with generations of people wanting to add colour and flavour to their soups, stews and gravy.”

For people concerned about their sodium intake there is a Reduced Sodium version that has now been updated with a new brighter label and sells well alongside the Original version to generate extra sales.
