Recognising a gap in the market, The Seed Company has developed new dressings with the help of Brett Sutton, executive head chef at The Eastbury Hotel in Sherborne, Dorset. “More and more consumers are starting to realise the benefits of using British-grown seed oils and we’re now seeing a greater awareness of rapeseed oil when we meet people at festivals and events. They’re telling us about their recipes – baking, dressings, frying and roasting – and it is obvious that British oils are now an essential ingredient for many people,” explains Ken Tuffin of The Seed Company. The new dressings include Honey & Mustard – a traditional combination using pure, natural honey and grain mustard, that’s perfect with cold meats, smoked fish, barbecued meat and as a superb dip,
marinade or glaze. There is also Tomato & Chilli with Smoked Paprika – a hot and smoky fusion of flavours made for drizzling over meats, chargrilled vegetables, wraps filled with salad and houmous, or a homely plate of baked ham and fried eggs!
