Sandhams Tasty Lancashire has been produced in Barton, just outside Preston, by the Sandhams family for three generations.
Current maker, Chris Sandham, still adheres to the rules of care, quality and tradition in the way his cheese is made today. All the cheese production is still done by hand in the time-honoured traditional style, which results in a quality of cheese that’s second to none and the products have won many prizes at cheese shows throughout the country.
The cheese is usually aged for at least six months and has a strong, tangy flavour with an open texture.
