Dewlay – the cheesemakers of Garstang have been making award winning Lancashire cheese now for more than 50 years.

One of the true “Hero” products produced at the dairy is Beacon Fell Traditional Lancashire Cheese, which is part of a small and exclusive range of classic British foods that hold the prestigious P.D.O. accreditation.  P.D.O stands for Protected Designation of Origin and the standard was created in order to help protect regional foods.

For Lancashire, it ensures that only cheese made from full fat milk sourced specifically from the county, and made to very stringent traditional techniques can be named “Beacon Fell Traditional Lancashire cheese”. This means our customers only get Lancashire the way it is meant to be, the way it has been for centuries! A uniquely mild, creamy cheese, that is ideal for cooking with, and absolutely perfect on an after dinner cheeseboard!
