Barber's is the oldest cheese maker in the UK with 176 years of experience making cheese at Maryland Farm in Dicheat, Somerset.
Barbers can claim that its cheeses have a totally unique flavour and character.
Barber’s 1833 is matured for a minimum of 24-months to provide the Cheddar with powerful intensity, complexity and depth of flavour. It has a slightly brittle and crunchy texture - a result of its long and slow ageing. Look out for Barber’s 1833 Vintage Reserve Cheddar, available in a 190g wedge or a 1.2kg block for your deli counter.
