The Regal, Lizzie’s Hand Made range was show cased at the Food & Drink Expo to much applause and admiration from discerning visitors. Lizzie Smith, a Cumbrian who was inspired by Italian gastronomic gusto encompasses the regions traditions with her passion for culinary creations, ‘I brought a bit of Umbria to Cumbria, and now I am delighted that British diners are indulging in these tasty treasures’, remarked Lizzie.
The sleek new packaging provides an elegant display which indicates the luxurious contents of whole fruit compotes steeped in opulent liqueurs. In essence, these gems of culinary imagination and enthusiasm are decadent desserts which can be served and savoured (simply) with mascarpone or used in extraordinary recipe combinations.
Names like Primi Prunes and Frutta Cotta denote the characteristics of these delightful conserves as with the Amaretto Apricots which were conceived in a family fireside foodie discussion.
Cumbrian Mostarda, is the savour sibling in this delightful range. The addition of whole mustard seeds to the fruit syrup provides a wonderful combination to be lavished on cold or hot meat and a range of fish.
Lizzie’s Hand Made is now cooked up by the Hawkshead Relish Company just down the road from her cottage where this culinary experience began; an experience well worth indulging in!
