Harrogate Blue

Harrogate Blue is our golden-bodied soft blue cheese, made with milk from classy Yorkshire cows.

We launched Harrogate Blue in 2012 which signified quite a milestone for Shepherds Purse.

It was the first cheese that Judy’s daughters, Katie and Caroline produced together, having just taken over the running of the dairy. We were all delighted that Harrogate Blue was a hit with our customers from day one and within a couple of weeks it won it’s first award. It’s gone on to win two golds at the Global Cheese Awards a silver at the World Cheese Awards and a Great Taste 2 STAR 2013.

Harrogate Blue is matured for a minimum of 10 weeks to give the cheeses the time to develop the depth of flavour and creaminess. Every batch is made by hand on the family farm in North Yorkshire.

It is available catch weight in 3kg truckles, 1.5kg truckles, 750g half moons, 375g quarters, and fixed weight 180g wedges.
