Guylian

One of the most recognisable Belgian chocolate brands on the British market, Guylian is stocked by all types of independent retailer. House of Sarunds stock many lines that are exclusive to speciality stores.

Guylian is one of the most well know names in chocolate. The story begins in 1960 with the marriage of Guy Foubert to Liliane. Hence the name ‘Guylian’, created by combining the first names of the bride and groom (Guy and Liliane).

Guy made and created his own pralines and truffles but the idea Guylian is renown for came about when he was looking for something to sell in the summer. He took his designs from the beach and the Guylian seahorse was born.

While Guylian is now a multi-national company, it is one of very few that still roasts and caramelises its own hazelnuts to get that unique Guylian praline taste experience.
