Fairfields Farm Crisps is offering free point of sale baskets to all customers supported by free promotional activity twice a
year, to help independents push sales in 2010.
The Essex-grown potato crisps are pan-fried in sunflower oil before being flavoured with a wide variety of locally sourced
ingredients, such as Aspall’s cyder, fresh chillis from The Chilli Company and Suffolk Gold Cheese. Most recently the Wicks
Manor Smoky Bacon flavour has proved very popular alongside a Parsnip crisp, which Fairfields combined with local Essex
honey and black pepper. Topping the tables however, is the Aspall Cyder Vinegar flavour, which has now won Gold Taste
awards for the past 3 years.
The business is owned by Robert and Laura Strathern, who pride themselves on combining their quality home-grown spuds with like-minded small producers to create a unique, local product. The family has been growing potatoes in Essex for three generations. All flavours are 100% natural and available in 100g and 40g bags.
