The competition, which will be running online at www.specialityfoodmagazine.co.uk for the next two months, will see two winners receiving pairs of VIP tickets to the festival in September, including entry to the three day event and hospitality, as well as a Ludlow Food Hamper, containing regional food and drink from the finest local producers.

The show, which takes place from 7th to 9th September will be celebrating the quality and diversity of the superb independent food and drink producers and suppliers that abound in Ludlow and the local area, known as ‘the Marches’.

From rare breed meat to real ale, cider and perry there is something to whet everybody’s appetite, with 80 independent food and drink producers gathering in the walls of the stunning ruined castle to showcase some of the finest and most traditional produce in the country.

Also on offer are a number of demonstrations, talks, tastings and competitions, which include The Pork Pie of the Marches Competition and The Sausage Trail. There is also a Slow Food Marquee, which celebrates food that is regional and traditional in opposition to the ‘fast’ food culture of today. Taste workshops offer visitors the chance to talk to producers and experts whilst tasting some seriously good food and drink.

The closing date for the competition is 20th August and winners will be contacted via email shortly after.
