2010. Rick Bonin, who heads up Whole Foods Market’s UK business, told the paper, “We feel very confident that we’ll be seeing sites announced in the next fiscal year. We would love to be in Birmingham, Manchester and Canary Wharf. We’ve not signed any leases yet but we are definitely looking.”
Mr Bonin denied reports Whole Foods Market was failing to meet sales targets at its flagship Kensington store. He said sales had been rising by ten to 20% since September 2007. “There is a market for us in the UK and when we are able to offer our brand to a wider range of people there will be even stronger demand,” he said.
