  • Skillsmart Retail and Retail Trust are offering ten £1,500 scholarships to a training event for managers to improve their skills.

The event, the Oxford Summer School, which will take place at Keble College between 16th and 22th August, will help participants appreciate the problems and challenges encountered when running a retail business. The bursaries are open to all retail managers from the UK, but owner managers are especially welcome to apply.

Anne Seaman, CEO at Skillsmart Retail, says, “We are encouraging as many people as possible to apply for the Oxford Summer School. It will focus on leadership, finance, merchandising, marketing and retail space. There will be guest lecturers, issue-driven discussions, team-building events and a black tie ball.”
