Tsuki Mochi has updated the classic Japanese dessert for the UK, exchanging the traditional sweetened red bean paste with smooth ganache and hand-rolling each sphere in London before coating them in a biscuit crumb or cocoa.
Howard and Vivien Wong, founders of Tsuki Mochi said, “We are committed to putting mochi on the map in Britain. Mochi has cult status in its home country of Japan and we are confident that they will be just as popular in the UK, as consumers are increasingly looking for luxurious and innovative desserts. Mochi is unlike anything else available in the UK and we believe that they are set to become an exciting new food trend in Britain.
“We make Little Moons and Tsuki Mochi from scratch in London – they are all hand-rolled according to the traditional method, guaranteeing that we produce the best and most authentic products.”
