IFE Event Director, Christopher McCuin commented: “In the past we have seen food groups from Scotland, Wales and Ireland exhibiting at IFE, whilst businesses from across the globe showcased their latest products in our Walk the World area. However, we have never had a section of the show devoted to celebrating food from England.
“Our England Pavilion and English Regional Kitchen are examples of how I think the country’s food should be represented around the world. English and British products are enjoyed across the globe and we need to be promoting them more. This year’s IFE will be the first step to helping regional artisan and speciality businesses spread the word about their premium products.”
IFE11’s England Pavilion will showcase products from all four corners of the country with regional food groups including Select Lincolnshire, Heart of England Fine Foods and Deliciously Yorkshire presenting their unique products from different areas of England. Leading regional producers including Luscombe Drinks, Hawkshead Relish, Paxton & Whitfield, Seasoned Pioneers and Styles Farmhouse Ice-cream will join other specialist producers to present their latest offerings to buyers.
Within the pavilion, visitors will also be able to attend the English Regional Kitchen – a demonstration kitchen situated at the heart of the England Pavilion. The brand new feature will include demonstrations from leading regional chefs including Select Lincolnshire ambassador Rachel Green, Stephanie Moon from Deliciously Yorkshire, Stacy Stewart who will represent the North East England Food and Drink Group, Fifteen’s Andy Appleton representing Taste of the West and Cornwall, Will Holland of La Becasse Restaurant, Ludlow, representing Heart of England Fine Foods, South East Seafood representing South East Food Partnership and Clippy the Master Preserver, representing Food Northwest.
