Simon Jukes, account director in Hampshire for Amey, said, “Amey delivers a vital service in Hampshire, maintaining and improving the county’s highways. We know this is especially important to the local food industry which relies heavily on the local road network for getting goods to market.
“We’ve become a corporate friend of Hampshire Fare as part of our commitment to support the local communities in which we work and the prosperity of Hampshire as a whole,” he added.
Mike Wright, chairman of Hampshire Fare, commented, “Hampshire Fare really values this corporate friendship with Amey, as it enables us to further raise the profile of local food and drink in the county and beyond. It’s particularly relevant, as without a well-maintained infrastructure of roads across Hampshire, it would be much harder for our members to deliver their products and services.
“Similarly, we want to encourage residents and visitors to go to the many local food events held across the county all year round,” he said.
