Get your free copyThe market research drawn from the National Farmers’ Retail and Markets Association (Farma) shows that the growth of farm shops is recording breaking, with more than 4,000 stores in the UK turning over a combined £1.5 billion a year.
Spring 2011 has seen a number of prestigious farm retail projects come to fruition. During the past few months, Kilnford Barns, Dumfries (www.kilnford.co.uk) and Hoptoun Farm Shop, Newton, Broxburn (www.hopetoun.co.uk) have opened for business, along with Apley Farm Shop, Norton, Shifnal (www. apleyfarmshop.co.uk) which held its formal opening event on 2nd June.
The Garlic Farm at Newport, Isle of Wight, officially opened its new Education and Heritage Centres on 14 June (www.thegarlicfarm.co.uk).
