Jason Hill, brewer at Eden Brewery said, “Cranstons is one of the best known names in Cumbria when it comes to quality produce and food and we are really proud to team up with them to help chalk up their century. Over the last hundred years they have played a key part in demonstrating how Cumbria is home to some of the best food and drink in the world and I hope our association with them reflects the pride and effort we put into our own work.
“Obviously this is an industry that is vitally important to the Cumbrian economy and so the work that Cranstons and Eden are doing is valuable not just for us as companies but for the county as a whole. The Centenary Ale is going to be available from Cranstons two food halls in Penrith and Orton Grange all year and I hope everyone can join us in raising a glass to them and the great work they do.”
Philip Cranston, managing director of Cranstons said, ‘‘Cranstons are delighted to team up with Eden Brewery to create this special ale in celebration of our 100th year of trading. Throughout our history we have had a proud tradition of working with passionate and skilled local producers. We feel very fortunate to be part of a thriving food and drink industry in the Eden Valley and Cumbria and it is just wonderful that we are able to stock produce from 40 Cumbrian suppliers in our food halls.
“Eden Brewery are one of the newest local enterprises we are working with and their range has been very well received by our customers. We are really pleased with the centenary brew, it’s a refreshing drink and we hope everyone enjoys it.’‘
The retailer will also be celebrating its centenary with on-site events and promotions.
