Cotswold Fayre has been involved with the centre since 2010, during which time it has helped implement a number of agricultural projects in order to help make the centre more self-sufficient.
There are many ways to get involved with the Ball, from taking a table or attending with friends to sponsorship.
Paul Hargreaves, chief executive of Cotswold Fayre said, “Every year when I visit the centre I am bowled over by the work that the team do to improve the lives of the children there.
“The centre has come a long way over the past six years; with a fully working farm, a bore hole, water tower and pumping station now installed. The next step is to buy a water purifier, making the water a high enough quality for the local people to drink. In the long term, we would also like to set up the centre for commercial bottling, which would be a massive step toward creating a sustainable future for Bala. We would also like to create a fish farm on the farm producing Tilapia, which can fetch a good price with hotels and restaurants in the region.”
“Apart from raising money for a very worthwhile cause, the event is good for networking within the speciality food sector.”
