“Londoners seem to have a real soft spot for Cornish food. We started holding monthly food markets at a London pub this year and they were a huge success,” said Matthew Chatfield, owner of the company.
Customers can pre-order their turkeys and veg online, ready for pick-up on Christmas Eve at The Telegraph pub in Putney Heath, London.
“People kept asking about a Christmas market so we started taking orders via our website,” he said.
Since the service started last Monday, requests have been constant.
“I’m expecting to get 200 orders by Christmas,” said Mr Chatfield.
The company started in 2008 to give visitors on self-catering holidays the chance to order local produce before arrival.
Early success convinced the owners to extend the franchise to London.
“Cornish food has a great reputation and is produced relatively cheaply, so expansion was our way of passing this on to people in the capital,” he concluded.
