- The Lincoln & York Coffee Shop of the Year Award is open for nominations to find the best independent coffee shops, cafés and espresso bars in the country
The awards aim to spread awareness of exceptional independent traders and smaller chains which demonstrate high quality coffee and good customer service.
Judges will solely focus on the quality of the coffee and how it’s brewed within the first round of reviews, with décor and ambience being judged in later stages of the competition.
James Sweeting, managing director of Lincoln & York, said, “After the success of last year’s Coffee Shop of the Year Award, it made perfect sense to make it an annual occasion. Supplying small, independent shops and chains is where our business began and we are fully committed to supporting them.
“This award recognises truly excellent coffee and the team and I can’t wait to tour the UK and get a taste of what our customers nominate to be the country’s best coffee shops.”
