  • The Taste of the West Range, which has been sold throughout Mole Valley Farmers' stores since 2006 and comprises local West Country products, has generated sales upwards of £500,000 in the last two years.

“The Taste of the West Range provides any outlet or retailer with a fast and effective way of offering customers local food and drink, while keeping the administration and logistics of doing so to a minimum,” says John Sheaves, chief executive of Taste of the West. “Retailers are also assured of the highest possible quality, as all producers supplying the range are Taste of the West members. Quite simply, it’s a winning solution to the local sourcing dilemma.”

For producers, the range is an opportunity to distribute their products to a wider audience, while keeping the administration and delivery costs low, thanks to a centralised collection and distribution system. The Taste of the West Range includes more than 250 products including pasta sauce, soup, muesli, cheese, butter, pies and pasties, sausages and bacon.
